Chris Houston (Sound Design) writes and designs for film, video, theater, and dance. His designs and compositions for the stage have been featured at Marin Theatre Company (Othello, Glass Menagerie, Bellwether, Tiny Alice, Seagull, In the Red and Brown Water, Equivocation, Sunlight, My Name is Asher Lev), Aurora Theatre Company (A Delicate Balance, Trouble in Mind, Speech and Debate, Fat Pig, Jack Goes Boating), SF Shakespeare (The Tempest, Puss in Boots, James and the Giant Peach, Alice in Wonderland), TheatreWorks (Now Circa Then), Magic Theatre (Luminescence Dating) Center REPertory Company (Mousetrap), and SF Playhouse (Abraham Lincoln’s Big Gay Dance Party, Six Degrees of Separation). He is the recipient of eleven ASCAP Plus awards, the Bay Area Critics’ Circle Award for Composition and Sound Design, and the Arty award for Sound Design.
